Static Websites

Today a website is considered an essential marketing tool for any business, whether products are actually being sold directly through the website (E-Commerce) or not. More and more customers will be expecting you to have a professional Internet presence that provides them with information about your business and the service(s) you offer, allowing them to make an informed decision at home and in their own time.

We can help you achieve an Internet presence that delivers the very best for you and your customers. From a simple online brochure of just a few pages to a large multi-division website, we will provide you with an affordable, professional, and friendly web design and development service.

To create a design that is entirely to your satisfaction, we first discuss by phone (01993 831046 or 01993 831084) and/or email, all your requirements, wishes and preferences in great detail, allowing us to fully understand your needs before we commence work. We then create one or two suggestions and the subsequent process of interaction will steer us towards that ultimate design. We can develop your website 'live' on the internet, allowing you to look over our virtual shoulder and provide us with feedback throughout the process of development. You can be involved in the creation of your website as much or as little as you like. We will continue to alter and tweak the design until it is entirely to your liking.

After the project has been completed, we can host your website from just £9 per month (or £100 per year). This covers the hosting and maintenance of your website, which means that we will ensure that your website is fully functional and up-to-date at all times and optimised for search engines. There will be no additional charge for the occasional textual alterations, allowing for your website to remain up-to-date and to continue to develop and mature indefinitely.

INTELLIGENT CSS

The webpage you are currently looking at has a different CSS stylesheet applied depending on screen size/resolution. At a 800x600px resolution, this webpage is presented in a small Verdana font in a single column. But on a larger monitor or resolution it uses an Arial font presented in two columns. You could resize the window and press 'Refresh' to see the different presentations of this very page depending on the space available.

The intelligent Cascading Stylesheets (CSS) that determine everything from font styles to page layout are also responsible for what is sent to your printer when you print this page. Have a look at your 'Print Preview' (under 'File') - you'll see that just the middle two text columns are printed, without the large header, the bulky menu, or this very column.
